Welcome to Whilton Parish Council


The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday 3rd June. This is an extraordinary meeting to discuss two planning applications.

In view of the current Covid-19 restrictions all meetings will be held via Zoom.  The |Meeting ID and Password can be found at the top of the Agenda.

If you would like to sign up to the village circulation list, which means you will receive news items that affect the village.  Please send an e-mail to the Clerk.

You can find all the Council's documents e.g. agendas, minutes, financial statements, policies, etc. on the 'Library' page in the Menu.

Agendas are issued 3 clear working days prior to meetings, usually on the preceeding Thursday. Copies are posted on the 'Library' page in the menu, noticeboards on the Village Green and Whilton Locks as well as the village website http://www.whilton-village.net/parish-council/notices/

Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings and have an opportunity to address council on agenda items, for no longer than 3 minutes. The period of time for public participation, which is at the Chairman’s discretion, shall not exceed 10 minutes. In accordance with the above, a question asked by a member of the public during a public participation session, shall not require a response or debate.  The Chairman may direct that a response to a question posed by a member of the public be referred to a Councillor for an oral response or to the Clerk for a written or oral response.
