On 8th May, Adam Walsh and I met two officers from Warks CC to look in more detail at the issues being faced. At the meeting they agreed that the only practical solution was our option A - i.e. building a car park on a new site on the Alcester side of the school, with access off the A435.
The officers will now be looking at a detailed feasibility study that involves the land acquisition and traffic management issues. When these have been resolved and funding can be found then I feel quite confident that we can move forward to achieving what we have needed for such a long time.
The officers also witnessed a fire engine that struggled to negotiate Coughton Lane immediately after the meeting, whilst school children were leaving the school.
