The planning application submitted by the National Trust for this site was considered by Stratford District Council on 1 November 2015. They decided that this would be an intrusion onto the rural landscape and the application was refused. The National Trust submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate which gave its ruling on 27th September to the effect that the appeal was dismissed, which means that the development, as planned, will not go ahead.
