Flooding - Tyne Valley Modelling Review

Dear Researcher / Partner,

We are now able to share with you for comment the final two reports that make up the Tyne Valley Model review. We commissioned JBA to carry out the model review, not to update or improve the actual modelling but to undertake an in-depth review of the existing models, and provide recommendations for future improvements.

Please note that these documents are technical reports, and when giving us your comments, it would help us if these were structured using the following key questions:

·        From your understanding, are the facts about the event correct in the report?

·        What, if anything, do you feel is missing?

·        Are there any additional comments you wish to make?

Comments on the draft reports should be returned to sarah.anderson@environment-agency.gov.uk by the 19 February 2017.

We will then review the comments and where relevant and appropriate will include them in our response to JBA Consulting for inclusion in the final document.

Attached to this email is an overview of the Tyne Recovering modelling study to help you understand the context and purpose of the work.

Kind Regards,

Amanda McKevitt  CEnv MCIWEM C.WEM
