An amendment to the 10 houses planning application

by Parish Council Clerk - 08:58 on 13 August 2014

It seems the highways people looked at the Bridle Lane plans and reminded the applicants that houses needed services and that services imply service vehicles and that Bridle Lane would not meet the required standards unless a pavement were to be added and the carriageway kep to a certain width.

The fact that this will have a substantial impact on people who park there was not mentioned. So the parish Council, following the lead of people who got to its meeting and protested, mentioned it - in a response to the planners who hadn't thought to send us a letter in the first place.

It is difficult to find reasons to object to a footpath, but we did our best and you can read the response in the library section, under 'documents'.
