Sergeant, The Northamptonshire Regiment

(1876 - 1918)

Born in Cork, Ireland , in about 1876, his mother's name was Mary.

He must have moved to the Wadenhoe area of Northamptonshire.

He enlisted in the 6th Btn Northamptonshire Regiment in Oundle on 27th September 1915.

On the 5th April 1918 he died in action on the Somme aged 42.

He is on the Irish National Roll of Honour linking him to Oundle and The Northamptonshire Regiment.

He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

He is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, Picardy, France.

He is also remembered on Wadenhoe's War Memorials.
