Age UK Northumberland currently has various volunteer roles available and they are always looking for people who are happy to give up their time to support older people across Northumberland. People normally volunteer for a few hours each week, Monday to Friday during normal working hours. However, they realise that people have very busy lives and they always try to be flexible as we very much appreciate the time, expertise and commitment that their volunteers bring.
People volunteer for a range of reasons. Some people just want to give something back to their community, feel part of a team or share their knowledge and expertise. Volunteering also gives people the chance to develop new skills, update their CV, get to know their community or just make new friends whilst at the same time supporting older people across Northumberland.
The range of volunteer roles available include:
· The Friendship Line
· Social Friday Groups
· Information & Advice Line and Welfare Benefits Advice
· Advocacy Services
· Health, Wellbeing and Exercise
· Day Centres
· Lunch Clubs
· The Roundhouse Digital Champions
· The Roundhouse Reception
· Admin Support
