Arthur Edward Moisey

Arthur Edward Moisey was born in 1886 in Oundle district, Northamptonshire to Rebecca Jane Hankins, age 26, and James Harry Moisey, age 24. In 1891 and 1901 they were living in Stoke Doyle, and then in 1901 when he was 25 they were in Pilton. In 1913 he marries Sarah Anne Plowright and they lived in Wadenhoe.

He enlisted in the Machine Gun Corps (Service No.89385) in 1914.

Their son George Edward was born on June 9th 1915 (died 1985).

Arthur Edward Moisey died on May 2, 1918, in Englebelmer, Somme, Picardie, France, when he was 32 years old.

He is buried in Englebelmer Communal Cemetery Extension. Grave C.24, his stone inscribed "Faithful Unto Death".
