Water meadow management and grazing of livestock

The plan is to mow the river meadows starting tomorrow, Monday 4th July. The tedding (turning) of the cut grass by rows will spread the new wild flower seeds(such as yellow rattle) across the sward. When dry the hay will be baled and sheep brought in to graze the aftermath and tread in the seeds that have fallen from the cut vegetation. Please pick up after your dogs because it spreads disease to animals fed the hay, and of course keep dogs on a lead when livestock are present.
