Prudhoe Front Street now has a public access defibrillator
03 April 2017

Prudhoe Front Street now has a public access defibrillator.

At the 2017/18 budget meeting of Prudhoe Town Council it was agreed that the council would purchase a 'Public Access' Defibrillator as has been done in many other nearby towns and villages.

Following this agreement, County Councillor Mrs Eileen Burt used her small schemes funding to purchase a defibrillator in this financial year, and this is now installed on the outside wall, on the west side of The Spetchells Centre, not to be missed in a bright yellow box.

Using a public access defibrillator does not require specialist training as the quick reference guide below shows (click on the guide to open in larger PDF format).

You can also watch the familiarisation video by clicking on the External Link below.  These life-saving devices are popping up all over and you never know when you might be that person; in the right place, at the right time.

Although watching the video does not constitute First Aid Training, the guide is very easy to understand, see for yourself.
